Department Profile

DEPARTMENT PROFILE

The Economic Planning & Development Coordination Department (JPEPP) is responsible for coordinating the planning of development projects, the preparation of allocation for development and the distribution of financial resources to the project implementing departments. The department also plays the role as the coordinator for privatization and joint venture projects as well as coordinating socio-economic data/information.

Furthermore, the department is also responsible for ensuring the implementation of development projects that have been planned and approved in the Annual Budget for KL City Halls and the Malaysia Plan, are achieved. The department also acts as the Secretariat for Project Inspectorate Team. Among the projects that are coordinated by the department includes infrastructure projects, commercial centers, markets and hawker centers, public recreational facilities, small scale projects, provision of public amenities and facilities.

 
 

To achieve a balanced development through a comprehensive and integrated urban economic planning that is in line with national development policies.

Client Charter

CLIENT CHARTER

1.

To monitor the progress of CHKL projects through various committees project reports as follows:

a. The Development Committee Meeting held 4 times per year;
b. The Project Identification Committee Meeting held 6 times per year;
c. The Project Monitoring Committee Meeting held 12 times per year; and
d.  Project Reports 12 times per year.
   
2. To submit the Progress Reports for Direct Aided Projects to the Ministry of Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing 12 times per year.    
       
3.

To monitoring the progress of the ongoing privatization projects through various meetings as follows:


a. The Privatization Steering Committee Meeting held 6 times per year;
b. The Joint Project Management Committee Meeting (JPMC) held 12 times per year.
   
4. To sign of the Sales and Purchase Agreements between the buyers, developers and CHKL for privatization projects within 2 weeks from the date of receiving the duly completed documentation.    

5.

To coordinate and identify site/land for specific development purpose within 3 months from the request/instruction date received.

Objectives
