In an effort to strengthen traffic control operations around the city center, the department has undertaken several initiatives for improvement, one of which is placing podiums at several road intersections and adding 10 new intersections for traffic control by Traffic Wardens starting from March 28, 2013.

The primary goal of placing Traffic Wardens at the road intersections is to facilitate smooth traffic flow, ensuring that congestion remains at its minimum.
